Join our cooking experience with our local chef at “Sent Soví”, one of the best cooking workshops in Barcelona. You will be taught how to create typical Spanish and Catalan dishes, discovering the secrets of our traditional cuisine.
Each class begins with a visit to a local market, Santa Caterina market; where your senses will be enlightened by the colorful array of fresh goods while you stroll around the different stalls learning the importance of choosing the finest ingredients.
Opened in 1848, the Santa Caterina market was the first covered market in Barcelona. It has recently been completely renovated with a modern look but in keeping with a traditional Catalan market. The brightly coloured undulating roof was designed by architects Enric Miralles and Benedetta Tagliabue. This extraordinary new roof consists of 325,000 ceramic pieces of over 60 colours representing the colours of the fruit and veg sold inside.
After some hard work in the kitchen – sit down, relax and enjoy a delicious meal, with some Spanish wine and great company!

Located in between the Gothic Quarter and the Ciutadella Park, El Born is one of Barcelona‘s trendiest and most popular neighborhoods. Home to some of the oldest buildings in the city, it is not only one of the most historic areas of Barcelona but also one of its liveliest.
At The Barcelonian we believe in sustainable tourism and authenticity, we accomplish this with small groups. Our cooking class is never larger than 10 people per group and we only provide this unique experience on Saturdays at 13:00h.
